Joyce Boland-DeVito ’84, LL.M. ’07 won “Best Discussant” when she presented her paper entitled “Stitching Together Stability in the Fashion Industry by Using a Pattern of Corporate Structures and Conglomerates” at the Global Business Research Symposium at University College Cork, in Cork, Ireland.

Michael Feierman ’85 of Bond, Schoeneck & King has been appointed general counsel of Teachers College at Columbia University.

Robert Mercorella ’86 has been appointed chief operating officer on Amercanex’s executive board.

William T. Morris ’86 has been promoted to assistant chief of the NYPD. Morris previously worked as commanding officer of the NYPD’s criminal justice bureau. Read the full story.

Maura McInerney ’88 has been awarded OZY’s first Modern Marshall Award for her tireless efforts on behalf of homeless and foster children, including a class-action lawsuit that dealt with the dismantling of a segregated school and a federal case affirming that homeless children have a right to an education. David M. White ’02 kicked off the New York Road Runners Book Club series with a Q&A and reading from his recently released NYC marathon–themed book, Negative Splits. The event drew a standing-room-only audience to the New Balance RUNCENTER. Profits from that evening’s sales support 261-Fearless, a 501(c)(3) which empowers women to overcome traumatic events through distance running.

Aaron E. Zerykier ’02 has been selected for the 2017 New York Metro Rising Stars list. He currently works at Farrell Fritz in the firm’s business litigation department.

Eric J. Handler ’05 has joined Goldberg Segalla as a partner in the firm’s business and commercial practice group in New York.

Eileen Patt ’08 has been promoted to partner at Kramer Levin Naftalis &Frankel LLP.

James Creedon ’09, a captain in the Army Reserve, competed in the Grand to Grand Ultra, a 170-mile week-long race through the Grand Canyon, which began September 24. He raised money for GallantFew, a charitable organization founded by veterans to help support troops who are transitioning out of the military. Ross Pitcoff ’10 has started a new position as founder and general counsel at the social media marketing agency, VIP Social.

Serena White ’10 and Andre Lake were married in May 2017 at the Coral House in Baldwin, New York. White works as an assistant counsel for a New York state agency.
