One hundred eight students have joined Fordham Law’s Master of Laws program this fall. The new LL.M. students received their primary law degrees from 46 countries from around the globe. The new students join 58 returning students, for a total of 166 currently enrolled LL.M.s.
The breakdown of the incoming class by LL.M. degree is as follows:
- 49 in the Banking, Corporate, and Finance Law Program
- 29 in the International Law and Justice Program
- 26 in the International Business and Trade Law Program
- 22 in the Corporate Compliance Program
- 20 in the Intellectual Property and Information Technology Program
- 20 in the U.S. Law Program
- 9 in the International Dispute Resolution Program
- 4 in the Fashion Law Program
This is the first year that Fordham Law is offering the LL.M. in Fashion Law and just the second year for the LL.M. in Corporate Compliance. Thirteen students are enrolled in the dual concentration program, which allows LL.M. students to receive the Master of Laws degree in two areas of specialization.
In addition, seven new candidates join the Doctor of Juridical Science (S.J.D.) degree program. The candidates are academics and professionals who received their primary legal education in Brazil, Ghana, India, Iran, and Turkey. These students, who join eight returning S.J.D. candidates, will pursue research in areas ranging from the efficiency of freeze-out regulations to LGBT rights in Africa.
