Members of the Fordham Law community are seeking to establish an affinity group for both alumni and current students, comprising active practitioners and those interested in intellectual property law. As a new affinity group, the intellectual property group would seek to broadly cover all aspects of intellectual property, including, of course, patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. Beyond the topics typically affiliated with intellectual property, the group would strive to cover all aspects of intellectual property, especially the evolving fields, such as IP Due Diligence, Internet & Technology, International IP, entertainment, media, and etc. Intellectual property is an ever changing field and there is a great need to form a group to keep pace with all of the constant developments within the IP landscape.
The stated goal of the group would be to foster relationships amongst the alumni working in the intellectual property field, as well as to connect interested students with alumni in the field. Moreover, the group intends to plan various social events and informal gatherings throughout the year, as well as to create CLE programming on the current trends and topics in IP. Anyone interested in joining the group and/or being part of the steering committee should please contact the Office of Alumni Relations.
