Feerick Center Seeks Volunteers
Holy Family Women’s Winter Refuge is in need of volunteers. The location is the basement of the United Nations Parish, Holy Family, at 315 E. 47th Street across from the U.N. To sign up, click here!
For volunteers there are two jobs:
1. Overnight: Two people stay overnight with the women and sleep on the stage. One volunteer is always a man. Two women will never be scheduled to do the overnight. Also, a veteran-volunteer is always scheduled with new volunteers.
2. Hot Meal: A volunteer commits to cooking and bringing to the shelter a hot meal for up to 15 people. The number of actual guests fluctuates based on weather/demand.
