Fordham Law School has launched the Fordham Law Winter Institute in New York City. The program, which runs January 6–14, 2016, will provide an intensive introduction to the U.S. legal system for legal professionals and law students from around the world. Program participants will study side by side with master students.
The Winter Institute also includes a visit to federal bankruptcy court and optional sessions on applying to U.S. LL.M. programs and on preparing a U.S.-style resume and cover letter. The program will end with a celebratory dinner and certificate ceremony.
“The Winter Institute was developed in response to the many requests we receive for a program on the U.S. legal system to be held in January,” said Assistant Dean Toni Jaeger-Fine, who directs the program. “We wanted to accommodate those individuals and make our global community even more inclusive and diverse.”
The Winter Institute draws on the success of Fordham Law’s Summer Institute, which was launched nearly ten years ago.
