Adjunct Professor Matt Gold appeared on SiriusXM’s show Knowledge@Wharton where he discussed the impact the trade war is having on various businesses in the United States and what the Trump administration might do regarding tariffs going forward.
“I think [President Trump’s] gotten to the point where he realizes this isn’t working – this whole idea of raising and re-raising and re-raising like a cub scout playing poker for toothpicks. It isn’t a smart idea when dealing with another superpower, and it doesn’t work out the same way. And he’s not playing for toothpicks.”
