Carter, the story of alumna Eunice Carter ’32, has been cited by the New York Law Journal and The Louisiana Weekly as a must read. After graduating from Fordham Law School in 1932, Eunice Carter became the only black, female prosecutor among 19 others (all male) selected by special prosecutor Thomas E. Dewey to take on the Mafia. Her work led directly to the conviction of Charles “Lucky” Luciano.
