Fordham Law alumnus Thomas A. Moore will give the graduation address, and he and his wife, Judith Livingston, will receive honorary Doctor of Laws degrees at the School’s 108th diploma ceremony on Monday, May 18, at the Beacon Theatre.

As trial lawyers at Kramer, Dillof, Livingston & Moore, they have won over 120 trials with jury verdicts in excess of $1 million, and settlements they have negotiated on behalf of their clients have resulted in payments of over $1 billion.
“Tom and Judy are two of the most successful trial lawyers in the United States,” said Dean Michael M. Martin. “I look forward to honoring them at this year’s graduation as we celebrate the achievements of the Class of 2015.
Both are members of the Inner Circle of Advocates, an elite group of the top 100 trial attorneys in the country. Livingston was the first woman—and the youngest person—to be invited to the distinguished group.
They have contributed over $7 million to the Law School, naming the Moore Advocacy Center in the new building and endowing the Brendan Moore Chair in Advocacy. In 2014, they received Fordham University’s Founder’s Award, the highest honor conferred by the University. The tribute “recognizes individuals whose personal and professional lives reflect the highest aspirations of the University’s defining traditions, as an institution dedicated to wisdom and learning in the service of others.”
Among their many charitable interests is involvement with Andean Health and Development, an organization that provides quality medical care to disadvantaged communities in rural Ecuador.
Moore received a J.D. from Fordham Law in 1972, and Livingston received a J.D. from Hofstra in 1979.
