    Mock Trial Team Wins One Competition, Advances to Quarterfinals in Two Others

    A 3L team of Brendan Moore Trial Advocates won the Queens County District Attorney Mock Trial Competition, finishing first among 14 teams. Students Will Bergesch, Shevonne Greene, John Johnsen, and Sarah McAteer comprised the championship team. The team was coached by alumni KellyAnne Holohan ’07 and Vicki Hill Clarkson ’13, both of whom also coached last year’s Queens DA team to a first place finish.

    Another 3L team, consisting of members Melissa Fabi, Olivia Gonzalez, Eilis Meagher, and Sheila Shen advanced to the quarterfinals of Golden Gate University School of Law’s In Vino Mock Trial Competition. In preliminary rounds, the Fordham students bested the team that eventually won the competition. Alumni Bernard Ozarowski ’10 and Lili Corn Ozarowski ’12 served as coaches.

    A third 3L team of Robert Iodice, Jennifer Lee, Yashwanth Manjunath, and Stacia Ward advanced to the quarterfinals of the Florida National Trial Advocacy Tournament. Robert Iodice also won the award for Best Cross Examination in the preliminary rounds, finishing first among 44 advocates. Alumni Jonathan Macri ’10 and Fawn Lee ’14 served as coaches.
