Angelica Kang ’16 will receive the Women of Inspiration Award at the annual Ms. JD conference on March 5 in San Francisco. Kang will be one of three recipients of the award, given to women who inspire others by their commitment and passion to their work.

Kang is currently a paralegal at New York Legal Assistance Group and a committee member of the Military Spouse J.D. Network, an organization that addresses issues facing attorneys with military spouses. At the Law School, she is a Stein Scholar, symposium editor for the Fordham Environmental Law Review, and a research assistant for Professor Jennifer Gordon. Before enrolling at Fordham Law, she spent two years with the Peace Corps in Senegal.
In announcing the awardees on the Ms. JD blog, conference committee co-chair Raychelle Tasher wrote, “The support for Angelica was overwhelming and deservingly so. While maintaining a full-time job and attending law school, Angelica has remained dedicated to public service and excelled in leadership roles.”
Ms. JD is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to the success of aspiring and early career women lawyers. Founded by a group of female law students in 2006, the organization is composed of law students and recent graduates and supported by a small group of independent contractors.
