Professor Bruce Green was listed as the #6 most cited professional responsibility/legal profession scholar in a recent study compiled for Legal Ethics Forum. The study analyzed the scholarship citations over the last five years of the more than 800 members of the Professional Responsibility Section of the American Association of Law Schools.
Professor Green’s scholarship was cited 560 times. The purpose of the study was threefold: 1) to demonstrate the vibrancy of professional responsibility scholarship, 2) to acknowledge scholars whose work has been especially important to the field, and 3) to encourage academics to better appreciate professional responsibility scholarship. The study was conducted by Andrew Perlman, 2014 chair of the AALS Professional Responsibility Section, and librarians at Suffolk University Law School.
Professor Green is the Louis Stein Chair at Fordham Law, where he directs the Louis Stein Center for Law and Ethics. He teaches and writes primarily in the areas of legal ethics and criminal law and is involved in various bar association activities. Currently, Professor Green is a Council member and past chair of the ABA Criminal Justice Section, serves on the Multistate Professional Bar Examination drafting committee, and is a member and past chair of the NY State Bar Association’s Committee on Professional Ethics.
