Fordham Law Establishes Student Exchange Program with East China University of Political Science and Law

Fordham Law School has formed a partnership with the East China University of Political Science and Law (ECUPL) in Shanghai, one of the premier universities in China. The agreement grows out of meetings that were held in Shanghai last March between Fordham Law Dean Michael M. Martin and a high-level delegation from ECUPL.

The agreement provides for an exchange of students between the two institutions. Under the agreement, Fordham Law students may spend a semester at ECUPL taking courses in English. Credits earned at ECUPL will apply toward the J.D. degree.

“We are delighted that we can provide such a rich opportunity for our students at an outstanding law school in one of the world’s most important global economies,” said Toni Jaeger-Fine, Fordham Law’s Assistant Dean for International and Non-J.D. Programs. “It also allows us to continue to attract top students from ECUPL to our LL.M. program, who have enormously enriched our community over the years.”

Student exchange will begin in the fall 2015 semester.
