By Erin Degregorio on July 2, 2024 Faculty, In the News

Former federal prosecutor and Fordham Law Professor Cheryl Bader spoke to Budd Mishkin on “Drive Time with Michael Wallace” about the implications of the U.S. Supreme Court’s 6-3 decision in former President Donald Trump’s 2020 election interference case, which states that former presidents have absolute immunity from prosecution for official acts that fall within their “exclusive sphere of constitutional authority” and are presumptively entitled to immunity for all official acts. She called the decision a “real gut punch.”

Listen to the full segment, “The Supreme Court rules that presidents have legal immunity for ‘official acts’”, on WCBS Newsradio 880’s DRIVE TIME episode released on July 2, 2024.
