Stephen Freedman, Ph.D., Provost of Fordham University, has signed an agreement with the Buchmann Faculty of Law at Tel Aviv University that establishes a student exchange program between the law schools of the two universities. The agreement was made in an effort to better promote awareness of the respective institutions as well as the legal framework of each country.
The memo of understanding allows both schools to exchange two of their students for one semester during each academic year. Considered one of the best law schools in Israel, Tel Aviv University offers an array of classes taught in English from which Fordham Law students may choose. Tel Aviv students visiting Fordham will be eligible for classes open to LL.M. students.
The understanding between Freedman and Buchmann Rector Aron Shai was facilitated by Professor Nestor Davidson, Director of Fordham’s Urban Law Center and Incoming Associate Dean for Academic Affairs. The memo is effective as of June 4, 2014, and will continue for the next five years.
