Fordham Law School has signed an agreement with the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics Law School (SUFE) whereby SUFE students will come to Fordham Law to earn their LL.M. degrees.
The partnership augments SUFE’s innovative Common Law Certificate Program, through which students complete not only Chinese law courses but also courses in English designed to replicate the U.S. first-year law curriculum. The collaboration will bring highly talented students to the Fordham Law community while supporting a new legal training program in China.
The Fordham-SUFE agreement was signed by Fordham Law’s Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Professor Nestor Davidson, during a recent visit to China.
“Fordham further solidifies its position in an important country and region by executing this agreement with one of China’s most impressive law programs,” said Davidson.
Under the agreement, the Law School hopes to begin receiving students in the fall 2016 semester.
