Fordham Law has recently teamed up with the University of Versailles in France to offer a new double degree program for third year J.D. students interested in studying international business and arbitration law. Under the agreement, each university will select two students per year to send to the partner institution for a yearlong program.

The double degree program offers Fordham Law students the opportunity to study at an institution renowned for international business law. Students will have the opportunity to study French law on arbitration, which has long served as a respected, influential model for other nations’ legislation.

Fordham Law students must be in their second year at the time of nomination and will be selected based on their academic record and their level of French. At the University of Versailles, Fordham students will pursue the Master (M2) in Arbitration and International Business. Courses will be taught in English or French.

Upon completing the program, Fordham students will be awarded a Master (M2) in Arbitration and International Business from the University of Versailles and a J.D. degree from Fordham Law. The University of Versailles’s Master’s academic program will offer lectures on international arbitration law, international business law, and investment law. In addition to these lectures, the academic program features a host of courses, seminars, and practical workshops for students.
