Jack S. Kannry ’68, partner in the New York City law firm of Warshaw Burstein, LLP and chair of its Construction Law Group, has recently authored two published articles in a series for Engineering News-Record, a leading national construction industry periodical, under the general theme of “Practical Legal Strategies”. The articles are entitled “Using the Freedom of Information Statutes” and “Contractor Remedies for Unforeseen Site Conditions Seemingly Precluded by Contract”, and are available on that publication’s website.
Bruce J. Bergman ’69 lectured for judicial seminars on mortgage foreclosure issues in December 2015 at the Judicial Institute in White Plains and in June at the Nassau County Supreme Court. The first of his 2016 bi-annual supplements to his four volume treatise, Bergman On New York Mortgage Foreclosures, was also published through LexisNexis Matthew Bender in June. Richard Frecker ’00 has been appointed executive vice president and general counsel for Hertz Global Holdings, Inc. Frecker, who joined the company in 2008, previously served as vice president and deputy general counsel.
