Fordham Law visiting professor and researcher Levan Bodzashvili was appointed acting head of Georgia’s security council by the country’s president, Giorgi Margvelashvili, according to an article in Agenda.ge.
Bodzashvili, 42, will temporarily fulfill the post until Margvelashvili names a new secretary of the State Security Council; the President’s advisory agency on national security issues.

It is not likely Bodzashvili will continue as a chairperson of the State Security Council, as he has already been named as the President’s candidate for the vacant position of judge in the Supreme Court of Georgia.
