Glenn Pogust ’80 has been awarded the inaugural Jonathan Lippman Pro Bono Award by the Senior Lawyers Section of the New York State Bar Association. The award was created to recognize dedicated senior lawyers who have generously provided pro bono service in New York.

Charles “Chuck” Katz ‘84 has been recognized by BTI Consulting Group as a 2017 Service All-Star. The BTI Client Service recognition is based on more than 300 in-depth corporate counsel client interviews. BTI’s All-Stars cannot be nominated by their own firm, but rather are singled out by legal decision makers at companies with revenues greater than $1 billion.

Kevin Curnin ’95 has been elected president of The Association of Pro Bono Counsel. The APBco is a organization of over 180 attorneys and practice group managers who run pro bono practices in the world’s largest law firms.

Brenda Gill ‘95 is now a partner with Burgher Gray Jaffe LLP specializing in complex commercial transactions.

David Goldstein ’95 was elevated to partner at Certilman Balin Adler & Hyman, LLP in the Nonprofit/Tax Exempt/Religious Organizations Practice Group. He was also elected to the Executive Committee of the Business Law Section of the New York State Bar Association, and also as the incoming Chair of its Not-for-Profit Corporations Law Committee.

William Jannace ’96 has become a consultant for The World Bank and a member of The Bretton Woods Committee. In addition, he recently taught courses on Corporate Governance and Capital Markets for the Wharton Business School and Georgetown. He also recently passed the training and examination to qualify as a Fellow for the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

Ritha Pierre ’11 was sworn in as the chair of the Haitian American Lawyers Association of New York. She along with the Disaster Relief Network organized a service trip to Haiti after the January 12, 2010 earthquake. While at Fordham, she was chair of BLSA from 2010 – 2011.
