Fordham Law Professor Deborah Denno was interviewed on CBS 2 News regarding the death penalty sentence of Stephen Hayes, who was convicted in the Petit family killings.
Denno said, “I think the Stephen Hayes case presents a great irony about the death penalty. On the one hand, the jury gave him death. On the other hand, it’s highly unlikely he will ever be executed. Connecticut will probably get rid of the death penalty, and he’ll spend the rest of his life in prison.”
