Fordham Law Professor Joel Reidenberg has been elected one of 61 new members to the American Law Institute, the leading independent organization in the United States producing scholarly work to clarify, modernize, and improve the law. The new members—judges, lawyers, and law professors—hail from 26 states as well as from the District of Columbia, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Australia, and Singapore. Reidenberg currently serves as an Adviser on the ALI’s Restatement Third, Information Privacy Principles project, which seeks to clarify American information privacy law.

ALI members are elected to the organization based on their professional achievements and commitment to ALI’s mission. Active members contribute to the Institute’s scholarly activities by commenting on drafts, participating in ALI projects, and attending annual meetings.
