PIRC’s Andrew Chapin Voted to 2014-16 NALP Board of Directors

Andrew Chapin, Director of Counseling and Public Interest Scholars at the Public Interest Resource Center, was voted a Director on the National Association for Law Placement Board of Directors during the association’s annual business meeting on April 11, 2014.

Chapin has held multiple volunteer roles within NALP. His past NALP involvement includes multiple terms of service on the Nominating Committee and chairing of NALP’s LGBT section. He has chaired the Annual Education Conference Planning Committee in 2003 and served as Vice-Chair to the Leadership Membership Diversity Task Force and Diversity Advancement Section. As an active legal career professional he is also involved in the New York County Lawyers Association, Equal Justice Works, and the Association of American Law Schools.

Chapin has been with Fordham Law School since 2004, serving as its Director of Counseling and Public Interest Scholars. Prior to joining Fordham, he obtained more than 12 years of experience while serving as the Associate Director of Career Services at City University of New York Law School and Career Services Placement Officer at Columbia Law School.

Chapin holds both a B.A. and master’s from Columbia University.
