Fordham Law student Megan Martucci ‘16 was awarded a $2,500 scholarship from the Puerto Rican Bar Association (PRBA) Scholarship Fund on May 14. She received the scholarship at the PRBA Annual Gala at Tribeca 360. Martucci is among eight law students who were awarded PRBA scholarships in 2014.

Martucci heard about the scholarship through Fordham Law’s Latin American Law Students Association. She was thrilled to receive assistance with her law school tuition. “I was extremely excited and still am,” she said. “My first year of law school was definitely challenging. Winning the scholarship will be a great help this summer and coming fall.”  Martucci is considering a career in corporate law or in international rights.

The mission of the PRBA Scholarship Fund is to raise funds for scholarships for deserving Latino law students. The scholarships are awarded to first- or second-year law students who reside in New York State. Scholarship winners are chosen on the basis of scholastic achievement, community involvement, and financial need.
