Three inmates to die after botched execution

Deborah Denno quoted in an Associated Press article run on Manchester (England) Radio Station Key 103 on the three executions that took place in a 24-hour period in June 2014 — the first executions in nearly two months since the botched lethal injection of Clayton Lockett in Oklahoma.

“I think after Clayton Lockett’s execution everyone is going to be watching very closely,” Fordham University School of Law professor Deborah Denno, a death penalty expert, said of this week’s executions. “The scrutiny is going to be even closer.”
