Fordham Law School is delighted to announce a program for Brazilian attorneys to be held at the Law School in collaboration with Fundacão Getulio Vargas’s law school in Rio de Janeiro and IBS Business School de Minas Gerais. The program will be held the week of September 15 and will bring to the Law School almost 30 lawyers from around Brazil.

Topics covered during the one-week program will include Introduction to the U.S. Legal System, U.S. Corporate Law, Mergers and Acquisitions, Anti-Corruption Compliance, Project Finance, Intellectual Property, Contract Law, and International Arbitration.

Classes will be taught by Fordham Law Professors Sean Griffith, Sonia Katyal, and Thomas Lee; Toni Jaeger-Fine and Megan Smiley of the Law School’s Office of International and Non-J.D. Programs; and Paula Bosco (New Mountain Capital) and Martin Conniff (Morgan Lewis & Bockius).

The program also includes a visit to and reception at law firm Ladas & Parry and a visit to the New York Criminal Court, and will conclude with a certificate ceremony and closing dinner.

“This program is a fine example of the kinds of partnerships Fordham Law is designing to provide outstanding opportunities to international lawyers and to expand the School’s footprint in strategic areas around the world,” said Toni Jaeger-Fine, Assistant Dean for International and Non-J.D. Programs. “We are delighted to welcome this group of experienced and talented legal professionals to our community.”
