Fordham Law School has signed a cooperation agreement with the Brazilian Regional Court of the 4th Region. The Tribunal Regional Federal da 4a Região (TRF4) sits in Porte Alegre and covers the states of Paraná, Rio Grande do Sul, and Santa Catarina. The agreement contemplates the development of training activities, joint research projects, and the exchange of information between the parties. The agreement also facilitates the participation of judges, justices, and court officials in Fordham’s LL.M. program.
The Law School has enjoyed a long relationship with Judge Eduardo Appio of the 4th Regional Court of Appeals, who has been at Fordham as a Visiting Scholar and as a participant in several programs.
“We are honored and delighted to formalize our relationship with the hope of even greater interaction between our institutions,” said Toni Jaeger-Fine, Assistant Dean of International and Non-J.D. Programs at Fordham Law, who spoke at the Regional Court during a visit last year. “We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship with the Court and its members.”
