Fordham Law School Professor Elizabeth Cooper is quoted in National Law Journal‘s article on the Supreme Court’s potential ruling on same-sex marriage.
“By refusing to issue a stay in the Alabama case, the Supreme Court has done two things: first, it has signaled that it wishes the courts around the country to continue to rule on same-sex marriage cases—and not wait until it issues its own decision in the matter (likely in late June of this year). The court clearly wants to have as rich a context in which to rule as possible.”
