States Scramble For Execution Drug, But Not Georgia

Several states around the country that have the death penalty are having trouble getting enough lethal injection drugs and are looking at alternatives. But in Georgia, the Department of Corrections said in a statement that it didn’t anticipate any issues in obtaining the necessary drugs. Deborah Denno talks to Atlanta’s local NPR station, WABE, about the situation.

“States are clearly scrambling now, and they have been for at least two years,” said Deborah Denno, a professor of law at Fordham University School of Law.
