“Consider the federal judge who insisted that a female attorney, wearing a dark business suit with a knee-length skirt and knee-high leather boots, leave his courtroom and return wearing ‘more appropriate footwear,’ presumably pumps, in Chicago in midwinter,” Scafidi said.
