In January of this year, after New York Assembly Speaker and fraudster-extraordinaire Sheldon Silver (D) was finally brought low, Teachout accurately observed that “one high-profile indictment does not represent the dawn of a new democracy.” Those are words worth remembering as the rest of Schock’s saga plays out.
