Zephyr Teachout in an Politico article about a prospective run for Congress in the Hudson Valley district being vacated by Rep. Chris Gibson, which covers parts of 11 counties in the Hudson Valley and Catskills, from Kingston to suburban Troy.

“A lot of people have asked me about it, and I’m definitely flattered. I’m thinking about it,” she wrote in an email to POLITICO New York.

Teachout has an apartment in Brooklyn, but said she has kept a residence in Dover Plains since 2015 near a train station that makes commuting to Fordham possible.

Teachout rode a wave of left-wing angst when she challenged Cuomo for the nomination of the Working Families Party. She didn’t win its line, but instead ran in a Democratic primary against Cuomo that captured a third of the party electorate.
