Fordham Law Professor Zephyr Teachout was quoted in a Pressconnects.com article on the upcoming race for New York’s 19th District congressional seat.

Teachout, an associate law professor at Fordham University who waged an unsuccessful 2014 primary fight against Gov. Andrew Cuomo, has raised $530,733 after a late start, according to her campaign finance report filed with the Federal Election Commission. Teachout has rented a home in Dover Plains since March of last year.

She said her campaign volunteers include “a lot of teachers and parents involved in (the school testing) opt-out movement” and environmental advocates.

“They come from both Bernie and Hillary supporters,’’ she said, referring to Democratic presidential candidates Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont and former secretary of state Hillary Clinton.
