Students in the Criminal Defense Clinic won a not-guilty verdict on April 13 for a client facing up to a year in prison. The three-day jury trial took place in New York City Criminal Court and saw the students handling many aspects of the case: selecting jurors, conducting research, offering opening and closing arguments, performing directs and cross examining witnesses, and filing and arguing motions. After the trial, both judge and jurors voiced their respect for the professionalism and skill of the Fordham Law students.
