According to the article, universities across the nation, including LMU, are confronting issues of cultural appropriation, which are heightened during Halloween.

Appropriation and Authenticity in American Law,” cultural appropriation is the act of “taking intellectual property, traditional knowledge, cultural expressions or artifacts from someone else’s culture without permission.”
