Professor Karen J. Greenberg spoke with The Daily Beast about Christopher Wray, President Trump’s choice to lead the FBI.

Karen Greenberg, who heads the Center on National Security at Fordham University School of Law, said the communications blackout violated detainees’ rights.

“Is it usual?” she said. “No. It is not usual, it is not lawful. But the law was redefined in many ways, at least in terms of practice––or suspended, is what i would say––when it came to the War on Terror.”
