Fiduciary Trust Taps Industry Veteran Gerard Joyce as National Head of Trust & Estates

Fordham Law alumnus Gerard Joyce ’81 has been appointed national head of trust and estates for Fiduciary Trust Company International, a global wealth manager and wholly-owned subsidiary of Franklin Templeton Investments.

“Gerry has many years of experience working closely with high-net-worth individuals and families to help them achieve their long-term financial goals,” said John M. Dowd, chief executive officer of Fiduciary Trust Company International. “As a proven, well-respected leader in our industry, Gerry will help us strengthen and grow our trust and estates business so we can continue to provide a broad spectrum of services to our clients for many years to come.”

Mr. Joyce has decades of experience leading domestic and international trust businesses and developing estate plans for sophisticated private clients. He joins Fiduciary Trust after nearly 17 years at HSBC Private Bank, where he served as managing director and head of the U.S. personal trust division.

Mr. Joyce holds a Juris Doctor degree from the Fordham University School of Law (Law Review) and a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Lehigh University.
