    Legal Scholar Discussed ISIS in U.S. at Riverside Meeting

    Karen Greenberg was featured in a Greenwich Time article about international terrorism.

    Karen Greenberg, the director of the Center on National Security at Fordham University School of Law, spoke during the Fiorentino Group’s Women in Leadership series at a private residence in the Riverside section of Greenwich, Conn., Thursday night, Oct. 19, 2017.

    “Good security comes from actually looking at the facts, and the facts are most of these cases — well over half of these cases — are Americans,” Greenberg, director of Fordham University School of Law’s Center on National Security, told Greenwich Time

    …

    Greenberg was invited to Greenwich for the “Women in Leadership” series because she is a prominent figure in international affairs, a field that is dominated by men.

    “There aren’t a lot of female national security experts. I can name them on less than this hand,” she said, holding up her palm. “National security is a military, intelligence, law enforcement environment. And nobody’s necessarily mean to you; it’s just a different world, and you have to find your way into it.”
