    Professor Tom Lee was interviewed by Reuters TV about a Justice Department lawsuit against Harvard that alleges the university has discriminated against Asian-American applicants.

    The model for the lawsuit really was what had happened in the 1920s, and 1910s and 1930s as well and what had happened then was no litigation…

    It’s a matter of record that Harvard had been receiving large numbers of Jewish applicants and there was a reaction against this by alums…..

    [P]resident Lowell had instituted a policy that looked like it was neutral on its face, but document suggests that it had been motivated by a desire to limit the numbers of Jewish applicants…
