Fordham Law alumna Lauren Louis ’00 has been named a federal magistrate judge for the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
Boies Schiller Flexner attorney Lauren Louis was named a federal magistrate judge in Miami, the Southern District of Florida announced Friday.
Louis was selected from 56 applicants for the seat that opened when U.S. Magistrate Judge William Turnoff retired.
A Baltimore native, Louis earned her bachelor’s degree from Towson University. She clerked for Chief Judge K. Michael Moore of the Southern District just after her graduation from Fordham University School of Law in 2000.
