On March 5, ten Fordham Law students in their final semester of law school began working full time in nonprofit legal service organizations, helping provide access to justice to underserved populations in New York City. These students sat for the New York bar exam in February 2018 and will graduate in May, at the end of their third year. They are participating in the the Pro Bono Scholars Program, which began in New York City law schools in spring 2015, under the direction of Judge Jonathan Lippman, then chief judge of the New York Court of Appeals. Information sessions and applications are currently being conducted for the spring 2019 Pro Bono Scholars.
Congratulations to the 2018 scholars: Gina Garcia, Stephanie Hsu, Daphny Lazarus, Sydeny Lim, Lisa Matsue, Shaun C. Prunotto, Bronwyn C. Roantree, Kamaljit Singh, Sarah E. Swaine, and Katherine Wentworth-Ping.
