Jed Shugerman appeared in a Slate podcast where he talked about the allegedly confidential letter by President Trump’s lawyers to special counsel Robert Mueller.
It’s a really remarkable letter on two areas of executive power. One is an assertion of sweeping extreme executive power as a Constitutional argument—really a very extreme version that has been rejected by the Supreme Court and goes too far. But then on executive privilege—and I think this is really what most of the letter is addressing—is an argument that Mueller is not entitled to an interview because they are able to provide all of the answers to Mueller’s questions with documents in writing.
