Nevada execution halted after drug company sues to stop it

Deborah Denno was quoted in a Herald Courier article about Nevada’s plan to execute a convicted killer using a never-before-tried drug.

Fordham University law professor Deborah Denno said many of the drugs previously used for executions were manufactured in European countries that don’t allow the death penalty. She said that has virtually closed the pipeline on states accessing those drugs and forced them to turn to domestic pharmaceutical companies.
