    Michael Cohen’s Claim ‘Is Not Worth Anything Unless It Can be Corroborated’

    Bruce Green was quoted in The Atlantic about President Trump’s former personal lawyer Michael Cohen’s new assertion. Cohen says that in 2016, Donald Trump knew about a meeting at the Trump Tower, where a Russian lawyer was expected to deliver confidential information about Hillary Clinton.

    To Bruce Green, a former federal prosecutor and a law professor at Fordham University, the turn on Cohen could be a sign. The earlier “back-and-forth between the lawyers for Cohen and Trump looked almost like a fake wrestling match designed to distract from criticisms of the president’s performance with Putin,” Green said, referring to Trump’s meeting with the Russian president last week in Helsinki. “But now it’s clearer why the president’s men are going after Cohen: He may be a very dangerous witness against the president.”
