Fordham Law Offering New Fall Clinic: Democracy and the Constitution

    0
By on September 25, 2018 Law School News

The Fordham Law Clinical and Experiential Program has launched a Democracy and the Constitution clinic this fall, led by Professor and former Dean John Feerick and Professor John Rogan, who also co-taught the Presidential Succession clinic in 2016–2017.

The clinic will take a holistic approach to the legal and social spheres of democracy, involving both legal research and analysis of public interaction between the government, the media, and the people. Students will have the opportunity to be stewards of our democracy by learning about and participating in electoral reform, ethics and transparency laws, separation of powers, and checks on presidential power, in order to better understand and advocate for non-partisan reforms. The clinic aims to educate and empower law students interested in strengthening our democratic institutions and the rule of law in the United States.
