He was involved in the Thurgood Marshall Legal Education Opportunity Program, a frequent presenter at CLEO programs such as the Road to Law School, ASAP, Attitude is Essential. He has written for the CLEO Edge magazine, trained staff and students on federal aid programs, financial planning, and the FPSLFP, and mentored many students.

Brown and Fordham Law will receive their awards during CLEO’s 50th anniversary gala in Washington, D.C., at The Ritz-Carlton, where the inaugural CLEO EDGE Vernon E. Jordan, Jr. Heritage Award will also be unveiled and presented to Mr. Jordan for lifelong commitment to diversity.

CLEO’s mission is “to increase the number of lawyers from diverse backgrounds that are actively contributing to the legal profession by continually expanding opportunities for persons from minority, low-income and disadvantaged communities to attend law school, graduate, and pass the bar examination.” The council strives to accomplish this goal by “instilling in them a passion for excellence, academic success, leadership, and appreciation for diverse perspectives.”

Fordham Law School is proud to stand with CLEO as it celebrates 50 years of championing education, diversity, and greater equality in the legal profession.
