Tanya Katerí Hernández appeared in an episode of KOOP Radio’s People United where she discussed her book Multiracials and Civil Rights: Mixed-Race Stories of Discrimination with historian Minkah Makalani.

[A]lthough I have been a civil rights lawyer for over 25 years, the book was a way to sort through my own confusion as to how commentators talk about the increase in people who identify as multiracial….So I was trying to figure out why they talk about multiracial identity and the civil rights law in the way that they did.
