On Tuesday, April 2, the Fordham Law Women student group hosted an end of the year reception at Bar Boulud. The event honored Kathleen A. Walsh ’89, Partner at Latham & Watkins, with the 2019 Betty Santangelo ’74 Award, an honor presented to an alumna who has helped to advance the careers of women in the legal industry and beyond. Fordham Law Women decided to name the award after Ms. Santangelo who, in 1971, was a founding member and president of the Fordham Law Women student group. We are eternally grateful for the support Ms. Santangelo and Ms. Walsh lend to our students and alumni today.

The Fordham Law Women organization seeks to raise the awareness of issues facing women and society among its members and the law school community. The organization also serves as a support group for women of the Fordham Law School community.
