    Expert Cheryl Bader On Harvey Weinstein Verdict: ‘A Real Victory For The Prosecution And The #MeToo Movement’

    Professor Cheryl Bader calls the Harvey Weinstein verdict a “real victory for the #MeToo movement” in a segment on CBS New York.

    This is a real victory for the prosecution and for the #MeToo movement. Even though it is a split verdict, they found guilt on what really is a top charge. In other words, the criminal sex act against Mimi Haley is equivalent to a first-degree rape, it’s just that it involves oral sex instead of intercourse. So that carries a very serious penalty of 25 years, the max, and a 5-year minimum. That’s a very serious charge.
