The Feerick Center Veterans Rights Project welcomes volunteers to deliver virtual Know-Your-Rights presentations to low-income veterans at local colleges and Vet Centers. The Center will provide training materials and support. For information on topics and training resources, please contact FCVRPcoordinator@fordham.edu.

The Feerick Center for Social Justice’s COVID Response Project, in collaboration with Legal Assistance of Western New York (LawNY), seeks volunteers to provide wills and end-of-life planning services for low-income New Yorkers in Western NYS. Our partners at LawNY will provide coordination and supervision, including pairing volunteer attorneys with volunteer law students. This effort is operating remotely. If you are interested, please contact FCVRPcoordinator@fordham.edu.

The Feerick Center encourages alumni, aged 55 and older, to consider registering for Emeritus status with the NYS Office of Court Administration and join the Attorney Emeritus Program’s cadre of volunteer lawyers who provide critical civil legal assistance to New Yorkers in need through a network of 67 legal services providers, bar associations and court-sponsored programs. There are numerous remote pro bono opportunities for both practicing and retired lawyers across the state in all civil practice areas. To learn about the opportunities, CLE options, and waivers of bar fees and CLE requisites for retired lawyers, contact aepcoordinator@fordham.edu. The Feerick Center provides administrative and programmatic support to the NYS court system for the Attorney Emeritus Program.
