Fordham First Generation Students (F1GS) is a student organization that hosts events that help students navigate their first year at Fordham. F1GS primarily targets students who are first in their family to attend law school or first to attend college–those students are more likely to be “flying blind” than those who have generations of lawyers in the family.
F1GS is seeking Fordham first generation alumni to join the alumni database and be a resource for students. Alumni may be given the opportunity to participate in mentorship programs or be invited as a guest speaker. F1GS is open to first generation college, professional, and law students.
